Check beneath sinks & behind toilets for leakage. Check for moldy spots as it indicates that an area is too damp. Check for unexplained rise in your monthly bill.
Replace rubber hoses with braided stainless steel lines. Replace tube water supply lines with bath & kitchen faucets. Replace old shut-off valves with new quarter turn ball valves.
Test water pressure regularly. The pressure should be between 55-75 psi. If the water pressure is too high, hiring a licensed plumber to install a water pressure regulator will be your best bet.
